Mucho trabajo en casa

Wir müssen so viel tun,
so viel Arbeit zu Hause!
Waschen, den Tisch decken, einkaufen, kochen.
Komm, wir putzen jetzt,
auch wenn wir keine Lust haben.
Wenn wir’s zusammen machen,
geht’s schnell vorbei.

Im Esszimmer

Wäsche aufhängen,
und im Wohnzimmer bügeln und fernsehen.
In meinem Zimmer
muss ich das Bett machen,
den Schreibtisch ordnen, denn ich muss lernen,
den Schrank aufräumen, den Staub wischen –
so ein Chaos, man kann kaum reinkommen!
Alles ist fertig,
nach so viel Arbeit!
Das Haus ist sauber,
jetzt können wir uns freuen.
Wir haben zusammen geputzt,
als eine Familie,
das Haus, das uns schützt
vor Kälte und Hitze.

In the dining room,
vacuum the floor,
scrub the bath and kitchen,

And in my room
I have to make my bed,
tidy up my desk because I have to study,
fix the wardrobe, dust the shelves –
such a mess, I can hardly walk in!
All done now,
after all that work!
The house is clean,
time to enjoy!
We cleaned together,
as one family,
the home that protects us
from cold and heat.
